Computing Requirements
Required Hardware
To access e-learning courses, a multimedia-class
computer (PC or Mac) with Internet connectivity is required.
Minimum system requirements are described below.
PC:
- 800 MHz Pentium 3, (1 GHz, or better, recommended)
- 64 MB RAM, or better
- 1 GB free hard disk space
- 56K modem, or better

Macintosh:
- 400 MHz G3 (500 MHz, or better, recommended)
- 64 MB RAM, or better
- 1 GB free hard disk space
- 56K modem, or better

Required Software
Students should also have the appropriate Internet
browser. Optimal views of online courses or supplementary
materials are rendered in MS Internet Explorer 5.5
or higher and Netscape Navigator 6 or higher. Mac
OS X users may find that Apple Safari renders online content,
interactions, and web applications more effectively than
other browsers. Browsers may need
to be further optimized if courses utilizing multimedia
require any browser plug-ins or ancillary players.
