Blackboard

The Savannah College of Art and Design delivers e-learning courses online via a web-based course management system called Blackboard. While this is not a course about web-based course management systems, it is helpful for students taking courses online to know something about the system by which they view courses, interact with faculty and fellow students, acquire course content, and submit course assignments.

Students who are new to Blackboard or e-learning should take an hour or so to explore the system. The best way to do this is to view a course. Click the navigation buttons and observe the results. Note how content is organized, and learn how to use the system tools for communicating and for submitting assignments. For additional information, students are encouraged to review the Blackboard Student Manual, any of the student support pages, or contact the SCAD Help Desk at helpdesk@scad.edu or 912.525.4567.
